Mental Health Team Support Worker

The Suffolk County Council North Mental Health team requires a skilled G5 Social Worker to provide support to adults with mental health difficulties. This role involves collaborating with communities and other organisations to deliver effective support and ensuring that individuals receive the correct assistance at the right time.


About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities: As a G5 Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting hospital discharges, conducting community-based Care Act assessments, and completing safeguarding inquiries. You will also contribute to delivering high-quality care and support services to vulnerable adults.

By working within the frameworks of the Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act, you will ensure that service users receive comprehensive and compassionate support tailored to their needs.


Requirements:

  • About You: To be considered for this role, you must possess a social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and hold a valid UK driving license. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

Salary: £34,834 per annum (plus £500 additional payment on completion of ASYE, pro rata for part-time hours)
