Financial Management Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join NHS Highland in the role of Assistant Management Accountant. Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering a professional management accounting service across various services, including Family Health Services, Public Dental Services, and Professional Lead Nursing Services across Argyll & Bute.
You will provide support in all aspects of financial management, including monthly reporting, costings, and analysis, as well as budget planning, working alongside the Management Accountant and the senior Finance team. You will work closely with professionals across a range of disciplines who are committed to making a difference, learn how a complex organisation works, add value to key health services, and build a range of transferable skills.
This post is ideally suited to recent graduates who hold an HNC, HND, or degree, or to candidates who have equivalent relevant work experience and have a desire to work in Financial Management within a complex organisation. The successful candidate will possess good analytical skills, strong communication skills, proficiency in the use of IT systems, including MS365, a team working ethos, and good planning, organisation, and time management skills.
Training opportunities and support to gain a recognised accountancy qualification are available to successful candidates. You may occasionally be required to travel between various work locations within the Argyll and Bute Locality to meet the operational requirements of the Service, so a full driving licence is essential.
