Job Description:

The Product Management team at Global Relay executes product strategy, prioritizes roadmaps, and researches enhancements to our services, ensuring they solve urgent market problems.

A Program Manager plays a crucial role in managing multiple projects horizontally, identifying interdependencies, and facilitating processes to drive program-level continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning and coordination for cross-team initiatives, collaborating with product management on scope and component teams on delivery approach.
  • Compile work estimates and assumptions with component teams, socializing target milestones based on estimates and assumptions.
  • Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout the development life cycle, tracking key project gates.
  • Work closely with component teams and integration testing environments to ensure readiness and effective alignment across teams.
  • Remove obstacles blocking progress, escalating to engineering management or senior program management as needed.
  • Proactively manage delivery risks in accordance with Global Relay's risk management framework.
  • Track progress against target completion dates using Jira and other tools, resolving issues impacting plans.
  • Report progress at appropriate meetings, following Global Relay's project and program management framework.
  • Become a subject matter expert for priority initiatives, understanding design, business logic, and technical architecture of relevant products.
  • Be a champion for process improvements, identifying opportunities to streamline critical cross-component delivery activities.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, or other technical field.
  • Hold experience in full lifecycle software development project management, including planning, monitoring, managing risks and issues, and reporting on project status (3+ years).
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid development methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Strong organizational, planning, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
