We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Smart Buildings team in driving expansion efforts and identifying strategic partnerships.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, developing and executing the Major Projects business plan, and ensuring financial performance and operational delivery. This includes working with the sales department to grow market share within the new build construction market in and around London and South East England.

You will also contribute to company strategy development as a key member of the Business Management Team, forge strong relationships, and ensure commercial and financial compliance. Your passion for the role will enable you to stay informed about market trends and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to achieve planned objectives and budgets focused on business and customer needs.
  • Develop and execute the Major Projects business plan, including financial performance and operational delivery.
  • Work alongside the sales department to grow market share within the new build construction market.
  • Contribute to company strategy development as a key member of the Business Management Team.
  • Foster strong relationships to ensure commercial and financial compliance.
Requirements
  • Leadership skills are essential for success in this role, with the ability to establish a collaborative approach to meeting business challenges.
  • A solid operational background, working at a Senior Management level, is required, along with experience leading projects and supporting engineering teams within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and be comfortable presenting findings through accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • An inspiration to others, setting clear direction, developing innovative plans, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Performance Management reviews will be required with direct reports to ensure objectives are clearly set, skill gaps identified, and development plans set and reviewed.
  • A full driving license is essential for traveling to different sites.
