Learning Disability Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care and Support Worker to join our team at Angus Council. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in adult learning disability services, with a strong focus on delivering person-centered support. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized plans, working closely with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
Job Description
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized plans in collaboration with service users and families
- Deliver person-centered support, focusing on empowerment and independence
- Contribute to the delivery of group activities and community events
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology)
- Experience working in adult learning disability services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
