Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at DCV Technologies. As a key member of our infrastructure support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to both internal and external customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Handle escalations from 1st Line Support and manage end-to-end processes for major incidents, including communication with internal and external customers.
  • Provide essential training for new starters and 1st Line Engineers, ensuring all manuals and processes are up-to-date and relevant to company standards.
  • Continually develop key skills and competencies for your position, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Offer internal technical support for systems, including server, desktop, and networking infrastructure, and liaise with stakeholders to build strong working relationships.
  • Record all calls to maintain accurate information about client systems and escalate issues in line with guidance.
  • Build strong relationships with customer account managers and take a proactive approach to customer IT systems to prevent problems and ensure long-term development.
  • Manage demanding users on customer sites who have high expectations and provide cover to other customer sites when necessary.
  • Complete PC builds, installation of operating systems, and peripherals for internal and external customers as required.
Requirements
  • Experience with storage systems, including Netapp.
  • Proficiency in Citrix, including NetScaler and storefront.
  • Knowledge of VMware, including Vcenter and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Aruba Central and HPE switches.
  • Switch experience, including CCNA.
  • Sophos XGS firewall experience.
  • Experience with server room hardware, including patching, firmware updates, routers, firewalls, switches, storage, and UPS.
  • Server 2012R2 to 2022 experience.
  • Logic monitor, SolarWinds, N-able, Backup radar, and Veeam experience.
