Vacancy Overview

Mactech Energy Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our expanding Sizewell C project team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the largest megaprojects in the UK, contributing to the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

The project has obtained planning approval and Government financing support, with construction underway. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, supporting Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Quality Leads in solving complex issues and ensuring effective Quality Delivery ways of working.
  • Travel to project locations within the UK to collaborate with the wider project team and stakeholders.
  • Support Quality Leads in managing daily Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, and updating governance documents.
  • Take ownership and drive improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, and implementing new methodologies.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and working within an ISO 9001 operating environment.
  • Experience in a project environment, ideally.
  • Minimum HNC/HND qualification level in a science/engineering based subject, or equivalent qualification.
  • IT literacy with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools.
  • Experience of capturing and driving continuous improvement methods and tools.
