Carlisle, Cumbria, United Kingdom North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking a Senior Consultant in Digestive Health to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a leading organisation for medical education and training, we are launching the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine (PCSM) in 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a gastroenterologist to combine clinical practice with teaching and development. The successful candidate will spend part of their time working collaboratively to help develop and deliver teaching in Gastroenterology at PCSM.

The North Cumbria GI Service is a new, cohesive and integrated department, combining the services of gastroenterology and endoscopy. Associated with the transformation of all our services across the Trust, it is envisaged that future configurations will focus complex inpatient work at the Carlisle site, and elective outpatient services (endoscopy and outpatient clinics) will be provided by all of the team across the Trust.

While appointees will be appointed to a base unit, all members of the team will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the general gastroenterology service across the Trust.
