We are a leading veterinary practice in NW London, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service to our clients and their pets. As a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our clinic.

About the Role

This 6-month temporary position offers an immediate start and provides an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills by taking on responsibilities typically assigned to a Head Nurse. You will work closely with our experienced veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Nursing Duties: Perform routine nursing tasks, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed by the veterinarian, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Leadership and Management: Take on additional responsibilities, such as staff supervision and clinic management tasks, to enhance your leadership and management skills.
  • Patient Care: Assist with surgeries, provide post-operative checks, and ensure the overall well-being of our patients.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, providing education and support on pet health care and post-treatment care.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Proven experience in veterinary nursing, with additional skills in leadership or management highly regarded.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing a team and clinic operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, adapting to early, middle, and late schedules.
