Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Operator to join our team in Washington. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating mechanical equipment to ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating mechanical equipment, including machining processes such as abrasive flow machining, broaching, deburring, grinding, and balancing.
- Conducting routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Collaborating with colleagues to resolve any operational issues that may arise.
Requirements
- Candidates must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and hold a Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds).
- Familiarity with machining processes, including abrasive flow machining, broaching, deburring, grinding, and balancing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary and Working Conditions
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a site-based role in Washington, UK, requiring flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts.
