We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Middle East and North Africa Division as an Iran Research and Advocacy Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to document and analyze human rights abuses in Iran, advocating for these abuses to end and be redressed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Develop and implement a research and advocacy agenda that focuses on improving respect for human rights in Iran;
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of human rights abuses, gathering information from various sources;
  3. Write and publish reports, briefing papers, letters, news releases, op-eds, and submissions based on research findings;
  4. Engage with the media, public, and human rights community, responding to inquiries and promoting HRW's work;
  5. Work flexible hours and travel domestically and internationally as required;
  6. Cover research and advocacy issues on other MENA countries as needed;

**Requirements:**

An advanced degree in a relevant field and strong communication skills in both English and Farsi are required. The estimated salary for this position is $90,000-$120,000 per year.
