Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Facilitator Specialist to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wants to contribute to the development of clinical research projects within the trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with research active staff, the R&I research delivery and support teams, and external partners to identify and set up clinical research studies. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and Set Up Clinical Research Studies: Work with research active staff and external partners to identify and set up clinical research studies, ensuring that all necessary approvals and protocols are in place.
  • Manage Research Projects: Manage the flow of new research projects coming into the trust, providing confirmation of capacity and capability.
  • Support Research Community: Provide support to the research community in developing research activity and strategy, working closely with research active staff within the directorates of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant relevant experience of clinical research acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
  • Qualifications: Educated to Degree Level or significant relevant experience of clinical research acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
  • Skills: Excellent IT skills, data collection and management, Word Processing and Computer skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
