Job Title: Information Security Expert

At The Emerald Group Ltd, Search and Selection, we are seeking an experienced Information Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Data Security Compliance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of data protection and information security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end process of fulfilling data subject requests under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), including subject access requests and erasure requests.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation and communications regarding the data subject request process to ensure efficient and cost-effective handling of requests.
  • Collaborate with the Data Security Compliance Team to identify and implement improvements to achieve compliance and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of data protection and data security training, awareness campaigns, and eLearning training rollouts.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in ensuring the importance of data security compliance is communicated across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and advice on UK data protection law to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge and experience of current and upcoming UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).
  • One or more recognized data protection qualifications.
  • Extensive experience of fulfilling data subject requests made under the UK GDPR.
  • Excellent written English and clear verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and focused with a desire to help, use initiative, and add value.
  • Confident general IT skills, ideally with use of Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
