Asbestos Removal Operative Job Description

Fraser Edwards are collaborating with an Asbestos Business that has been in operation for over a decade, boasting a team of more than 50 asbestos professionals. The team continues to expand annually.

Due to sustained growth, our client is recruiting for an Asbestos Removal Operative to join the team. This position will cover projects nationwide.

The Asbestos Operative Role:
  • Perform asbestos removal activities in accordance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and project plans.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments against the plan of works and raise any concerns regarding the removal methods to the site's Asbestos Removals Supervisor.
  • Safely handle, transport, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection when working with asbestos.
  • Respond to incidents or emergencies related to asbestos removal.
  • Minimize the risk of contamination during asbestos removal activities.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in asbestos removal activities, including vacuum cleaners, saws, and power tools.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure that asbestos removal activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Ensure that you have read, signed, and understood the POW and associated risk assessments.
Benefits:
  • Basic Salary: Up to £150 per day / shift (£39,150 per annum)
  • Time and a half at weekends - dependent upon experience.

  • Asbestos Removal Operative Certificate (Minimum 2 Years experience) and all relevant documentation
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving License
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Up to £150 per day / shift (£39,150 per annum)
