The Asbestos Operative Role:
  • Perform asbestos removal activities in accordance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and project plans.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments against the plan of works, raising any concerns regarding removal methods to the site's Asbestos Removals Supervisor.
  • Safely handle, transport, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection when working with asbestos.
  • Respond to incidents or emergencies related to asbestos removal.
  • Minimize the risk of contamination during asbestos removal activities.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in asbestos removal activities, including vacuum cleaners, saws, and power tools.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
