Job Summary

A Senior Data Analyst at Abcam plays a critical role in developing, deploying, and maintaining complex reporting and dashboards. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate with the wider Data & Analytics teams to fulfill business requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define business needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain complex reporting and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Provide support for analysts who build reports within the reporting solution.
  • Manage user licenses, including onboarding and offboarding analysts.
  • Prioritize the backlog of data pipelines implemented by data engineering.
  • Ensure availability, accuracy, and reliability of senior management reporting.
  • Manage migration programs for transitioning between reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Relevant master's degree would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience with data modeling and visualization techniques.
  • Proficiency in report generation using Tableau.
  • Proficiency using SQL or other query languages.
  • Proficiency in Python is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering insights and recommendations that drive business value.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
