About the Job

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a 6-month contract in Newbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support with HR policies and guidelines, employee relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

">
  1. Provide direct support to employees, HR groups, and management, handling various HR transactions as part of a centralized function.
  2. Maintain employee records, input data into the HRIS system, and process forms related to new hires, status changes, performance evaluations, benefits, and terminations.
  3. Support the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and assisting with onboarding.
  4. Assist with employee relations issues, including investigations, dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and provide payroll changes to the payroll department.
  5. Manage training, performance management, benefits administration, HR policy implementation, and employee offboarding, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

  • Proven track record in managing HR operational functions, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management in a unionized environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking and conflict-resolution skills to manage sensitive employee matters, drive HR initiatives, and ensure smooth operations.
