About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team at Adjusting Appointments Limited. As a key member of our professional team, you will work on a wide range of projects, primarily insurance work, reinstating residential and commercial buildings in all forms of construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
  • Carry out measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and associated investigations.
  • Determine the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for repairs, refurbishment, demolition, and re-building of all types of buildings.
  • Tend projects and provide post-tender analysis.
  • Oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.
  • Work independently as project lead with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
  • Understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning regulation.
  • Play an active part in promoting the company's services to secure projects and promote the business.
About You
  • Experienced in project management, design, and contract administration.
  • Insurance reinstatement experience is desirable.
  • Experienced in dealing with all perils.
  • An organised, efficient, and reliable individual who is thoroughly professional and fully committed to developing a long-term career with the company.
  • Experienced in understanding CAD, CDM Regs 2015, The Party Wall etc. Act 1996, Building Regulation, and Planning Legislation.
  • MRICS qualified.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Basic salary up to £75k per annum depending on experience.
  • Bonus in excess of 14% per annum, OTE up to £85k per annum.
