We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team at Adjusting Appointments Limited. As a key member of our professional team, you will work on a wide range of projects, primarily insurance work, reinstating residential and commercial buildings in all forms of construction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
- Carry out measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and associated investigations.
- Determine the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair.
- Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for repairs, refurbishment, demolition, and re-building of all types of buildings.
- Tend projects and provide post-tender analysis.
- Oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.
- Work independently as project lead with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
- Understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning regulation.
- Play an active part in promoting the company's services to secure projects and promote the business.
- Experienced in project management, design, and contract administration.
- Insurance reinstatement experience is desirable.
- Experienced in dealing with all perils.
- An organised, efficient, and reliable individual who is thoroughly professional and fully committed to developing a long-term career with the company.
- Experienced in understanding CAD, CDM Regs 2015, The Party Wall etc. Act 1996, Building Regulation, and Planning Legislation.
- MRICS qualified.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Basic salary up to £75k per annum depending on experience.
- Bonus in excess of 14% per annum, OTE up to £85k per annum.
- An electric or hybrid car or car allowance.
- Mobile phone, laptop, and additional necessary equipment.
- Professional membership fees will be paid.
- Pension.
- Private medical insurance.
