Head of Care Opportunity

An exciting role has arisen to lead our care services as Head of Care. This position will support the management team in ensuring high-quality care delivery across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director and management teams to develop and enhance care provision, ensuring it meets individual needs and is culturally appropriate.
  • Support staff's continuous professional development through coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for registered managers' absences and provision of care services.
  • Contribute to service development and delivery across Options for Care.
  • Lead the evaluation of care delivery against local and national guidance.
  • Provide guidance and role modelling to clinical staff through active involvement in care.
  • Work closely with service users, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and review care.
  • Participate in projects or research within the service as agreed with the Operations Director.
  • Understand and apply infection control and safeguarding agendas in Mental Health and associated legislation.
  • Apply knowledge of clinical risk assessment and management.
  • Utilise evidence-based practice relevant to working with service users with long-term complex care mental health needs.
  • Hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Pursue professional and personal development related to rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Develop clinical leadership or management skills.
  • Apply clinical supervision/coaching experience.
Requirements
  • Presentation skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Commitment to developing person-centred care.
  • Interest in working in mental health care.
  • Ability to support and challenge others to develop pathways enhancing service quality, care continuity, and economy.
