Support Worker Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity to work as a Support Worker with a dedicated individual who requires support with daily activities, leading a fulfilling and independent life.



About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide person-centered support to a young adult with autism and epilepsy. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, promoting the individual's independence, safety, and well-being.



Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the individual's independence by supporting them with daily activities, such as cleaning, cooking, and personal care
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the individual's needs and goals
  • Provide support with medication management and administration
  • Assist with manual handling and lifting as required
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping


Requirements

  • Be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Have a minimum of [insert relevant qualification or experience] in a care-related field
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality
