Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills? We are seeking a highly motivated Mortuary Administration Assistant to join our team in the Transformation Unit at Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the mortuary department, including day-to-day office management, clerical tasks, and liaison with staff and healthcare professionals.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Manage databases and paperwork
    • Assist with administrative tasks
    • Admission and release of deceased patients
    • Prepare deceased for viewing and deal with relatives
    • Maintain mortuary databases and registers
    • Post-Mortem Scheduling
    • General cleaning and disinfection of mortuary areas

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE level A-C grade or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
