Job Description
This role is for a Senior Sister to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kings College Hospital. The unit provides level 3 Medical and Surgical care to sick term babies and preterm babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation. As a Senior Sister, you will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating clinical care for babies requiring high levels of nursing care. You will also support staff to develop these skills on the unit.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide expert, high-quality care to critically ill and stable babies and their parents/carers within the hospital.
- To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of nurses within the NICU.
- To act as a clinical resource and link nurse within the unit and across the Care Group as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Evidence of clinical expertise relevant to the area.
- Previous experience of leading change in the clinical environment.
- Sound knowledge and ability to implement the Trust's safeguarding/child protection policies and procedures.
- Communication skills – able to relate and communicate with parents and staff at all levels and from different professions.
- Team building and working skills – able to lead a team to achieve results.
- Mentorship programme or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Willingness to study at degree level.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £44,806-£53,134 per annum, including High Cost Area Supplement. As a member of the Kings College Hospital team, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities.
