Kitchen Service Specialist

In this role, you will assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals and perform cooking tasks as required. You will also ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room, as well as wash utensils, dishes, and store them appropriately. Additionally, you will rotate stock and put away all deliveries, maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations, handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures, and use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in catering, preferably within a care setting. You should also hold a food hygiene certificate and have good personal hygiene standards. You must be enthusiastic, keen to learn, and an active team member. You should be polite and professional, with a positive attitude at all times, and have excellent communication skills. You should also be diligent and take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team, and under supervision. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
