Nurse Unit Manager Position

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Manager at Fernwoodcare home in Knowsley.
As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursing and care colleagues, driving quality, and maintaining high standards of care on your unit.
You will work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage the day-to-day operations of the unit and ensure that the needs of our residents are met.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Health Care Assistants
- Developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments
- Overseeing and managing all clinical elements and risks on the unit
- Acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you
- Supervising and managing the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN
- Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications
- An excellent range of clinical and communication skills
- An enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people
- The ability to work confidently on your own initiative
