Job Title: Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting schools across the region to develop effective policies, procedures, and training to address substance misuse concerns.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in substance misuse, youth work, and education, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for delivering training to education staff, developing and delivering workshops to parents and carers, and providing one-to-one support to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training for education staff on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
  • Provide one-to-one support to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with schools and other agencies to deliver a holistic package of care for children and young people.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with schools, parents, and carers to ensure seamless referrals and transitions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of substance misuse services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist knowledge of substance misuse and its effects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with schools, parents, and carers.
