Job Description: Paramedic Practitioner Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Paramedic Practitioner to join our team at Cumbria Health. This is a part-time position offering approximately 24 hours per week, with flexibility to spread the hours across 3 or 4 days.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, working independently and effectively within a team. A prescriber qualification is essential, and experience working with care homes or providing home visits will be highly advantageous.

As a Paramedic Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centred care, assessing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and initiating treatment, investigations, advice, and management of problems using professional autonomous decision-making processes.

Our ideal candidate will have significant post-registration experience (minimum 5 years) in a relevant field, excellent communication and consultation skills, and leadership skills. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work independently as a Paramedic Practitioner within the scope of professional practice.
  • Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and initiate treatment, investigations, advice, and management of problems.
  • Deliver patient-centred care, ensuring accurate and concise documentation, and maintaining confidentiality of information regarding patients.
