About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer to join our client's not-for-profit organisation. The role involves overseeing the management of corporate risk, handling all legal matters within the organisation, and contributing to the successful delivery of strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and experience of legislation, governance requirements, and best practice ideally within a Health & Social Care setting and the compliance needs of a charity.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the charity complies with statutory, regulatory, and charity commission requirements.
  • Provide Company Secretarial services to the Board and board committees, ensuring that meetings are properly conducted, minutes accurately recorded, and all statutory, legislative, and procedural obligations relating to governance are fulfilled.
  • Provide sound and pragmatic legal advice to the executive team and the trustee board in a cost-effective manner.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the approach to risk and ensure that the legal, commercial, and reputational interests of the organisation are adequately protected.
