  • Government data returns preparation and submission

  • Expense claim management
  • VAT return preparation
  • Tax return preparation

  • Maintenance of financial system code lists
  • Monitoring of central email boxes
  • Resolution of queries
  • Continuous improvement of processes
  • Other ad hoc tasks to support the Financial Controller

The Ideal Candidate

Candidates will need to have:

  • Qualified to AAT or equivalent eg finance/accounting university degree
  • Minimum of 3 years finance work experience
  • Experience of using a finance system
  • Public Sector finance experience is desirable
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Good financial record keeping
  • Experience of reconciling financial data
  • Proficient in using Excel
  • Ability to use spreadsheet skills to analyse and present data
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial planning
  • Experience of finance system administration and maintenance is desirable
  • Proactive communicator
  • Good organisation and self-management
  • Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
