Immersive gaming experiences with fun gameplay and unparalleled artistic quality are crafted by zeroG - AI in Aviation, an independent video game developer and publisher.

This role offers a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to split time between the studio and home.

You will contribute to our ambitious future roadmap of games.

Key Responsibilities
  1. High-fidelity real-time game characters are created using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
  2. Collaboration with Character Artists within zeroG - AI in Aviation and external vendors ensures high-quality models are delivered on budget, on time, and in the correct art style.
  3. Ability to work within an established art style.
  4. Extensive knowledge of 3D packages, such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max, is required.
  5. Excellent Substance Painter texturing skills for physically-based rendering are necessary.
  6. Familiarity with the real-time character creation pipeline, including high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, texture baking, and texture creation, is expected.
Bonus if You Have
  1. A flair for interpreting concept art to create 3D models that capture the spirit of the concept.
  2. An adaptable attitude to working across various art styles, from high-detail realism to cartoon stylisation.
  3. Well-rounded general art skills, such as 2D drawing, are beneficial.
  4. An interest in sculpting creatures and animal anatomy is a plus.

A competitive salary, ranging between £60,000 and £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits package, including a success-based annual bonus, share option schemes, life assurance, private family healthcare, flexible working hours, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, in-house subsidised catering, relocation support, a Cycle to Work scheme, free bike servicing, and social activities and events, are provided.
