Job Overview

The Charalle Group seeks a skilled Early Career Talent Development Specialist to join its team in Birmingham. As an Early Career Lead, you will play a critical role in developing and coordinating assessment centers for national service lines, as well as managing a team of coordinators.

This is a 12-month contract position that requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. You will work closely with the National Early Careers Manager, Early Careers attraction Coordinators, and Service Line representatives to deliver the Talent strategy in line with our 'grow your own' strategy and diversity agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: Manage the day-to-day performance of the team, ensuring coordinators are equipped with necessary information to meet forecasted hiring volumes.
  2. Candidate Experience: Engage proactively and ensure a positive experience for students/candidates, suggesting and implementing process improvements as necessary.
  3. Process Improvement: Work with the TA operations Lead to review and recommend process improvements.
  4. Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure delivery against D&I targets and support initiatives to attract a diverse talent pool.
  5. Selection Tools: Ensure the right selection and assessment tools are managed and utilized, providing robust reporting on success measures.
  6. Recruitment Technology: Use Recruitment technology and ensure full compliance of use by the team.
  7. Recruitment Process: Oversee the entire recruitment process from application to decision, ensuring a smooth process.
  8. Stakeholder Interface: Key interface with internal stakeholders to upskill capability for managing robust selection criteria and ensure fair selection throughout.
  9. Trainee Experience: Act as the champion for trainee experience, ensuring the firm delivers an exceptional experience.
  10. Community Outreach: Build strong connections with the HRBP community to identify opportunities to improve service by gaining a deep understanding of business lines and future growth plans.
  11. Brand Ambassador: Be a brand ambassador, building a robust outreach strategy to connect and engage talent through schools/universities, etc.
  12. Student Recruitment: Responsible for the student recruitment advertising budget and ensuring ROI.
  13. Third-Party Liaison: Liaise with third-party advertising companies for campaigns.
  14. Issue Resolution: Deal with escalated issues from candidates/system/regions.
  15. Social Media Content: Main point of contact for social media content for students.
  16. Management Information: Provide robust management information to the business/early careers team.
  17. Team Coordination: Manage a team of coordinators.
  18. Ad-Hoc Projects: Ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  1. Communication Skills: Adept communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence across the business.

  3. Discretion: Aware of the confidential nature of the work within employment law boundaries.
  4. Proven Leadership: Proven team leadership skills to drive and support Talent acquisition teams.
  5. Pressure Handling: Respond well to pressure and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  6. Driven Individual: Completely committed to the job, ready to hit the ground running, and willing to put in extra effort when necessary.
  7. Professionalism: Polished and professional representative of the company to new starters, making a good first impression.
  8. Flexibility: Willingness to work outside standard hours when necessary.
  9. Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  10. Travel Requirements: Some national travel from time to time.

Location: This opportunity is based in Birmingham, UK.

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
