Nuclear Safety Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services that meet the stringent requirements of the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with QMS procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into project plans and deliverables.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on QMS procedures and best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans to address non-conformities and deviations.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality-related policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering, physics, or chemistry.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a quality-related role, preferably in the nuclear industry.
- Professional certifications, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
