We are now recruiting for a Scientific Instrumentation Specialist to work as the main technical resource for Taylorollinson's product range, providing remote and onsite customer support across the UK.

About the Role

As a Scientific Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments in laboratory settings throughout the UK. You will also deliver on-site or workshop-based repair services for instruments and systems as needed, provide remote support to customers via telephone, email, or online platforms, and assist with installations and collaborating with manufacturing sites to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have ONC/HNC in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or equivalent minimum, experience working as a Field Service Engineer – working at customer sites and undertaking field maintenance, repairs and installations on complex scientific instrumentation, and strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret scientific / analytical data and act accordingly to resolve customer queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments in laboratory settings throughout the UK.
  • Deliiver on-site or workshop-based repair services for instruments and systems as needed across the UK.
  • Provide remote support to customers via telephone, email, or online platforms.
  • Assist with installations and collaborating with manufacturing sites to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum.
