Employment and Skills Trainer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment and Skills Trainer to join our team at Reed in Partnership. As an integral part of our employability programmes, you will play a crucial role in improving the opportunities of adult job-seekers by coaching, training, and upskilling them to achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to prepare and equip job-seekers with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers.
  • Assess and evaluate the results of training sessions, providing constructive feedback to participants to help them improve.
  • Maintain a professional training environment, ensuring effective classroom management and a positive learning experience for all participants.
  • Promote our courses to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting the benefits and value of our employability programmes.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work to strict targets and with people from various backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of working in the welfare-to-work or similar relevant sector.
  • Background in preparing and delivering training courses.
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PTTLS or PGCE.
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.

  • Ability to empathise with our members and motivate them.
  • Passion for delivering excellent job and making long-term positive changes for our members.
  • Resilience, creativity, and adaptability.
  • Willingness to travel locally to deliver training, courses, or meet learners and employers.
