The Position

We are seeking an experienced aerodynamicist to join our Aerodynamics department as a Senior Aerodynamics Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone to take their career to the next level and contribute to the development of our future F1 race cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative aerodynamic concepts using advanced tools and technologies to optimize the performance of our race cars.
  • Mentor junior aerodynamicists to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the aerodynamics department and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Work with the team to identify and acquire new tools and technologies to enhance our development rate.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Wind Tunnel runs to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on CFD and Wind Tunnel results to develop robust aerodynamic solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the department and wider team through clear communication and information sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience working in aerodynamics in a Formula 1 team.
  • Experience with CFD and Wind Tunnel techniques.
  • Advanced understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in using CAD and CFD software.
  • Ability to drive outcomes under tight deadlines using problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding the bigger picture, including in-depth analysis of results, correlation investigations, and novel use of data.
  • Strong influential ability to get buy-in and drive collaboration across departments.
  • Willingness to challenge current methods and theories.
