About the Role

Cancer Research UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supporter Services Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Supporter Engagement function, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supporter Services Executives and seasonal staff to deliver exceptional service to our supporters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, line manage, and develop a high-performing team, providing day-to-day support and ensuring high levels of service.
  • Performance Management: Work with the wider Service Delivery Manager network to ensure well-rounded stakeholder management and cost-effective, timely, and efficient supporter-led solutions.
  • Culture Development: Create a positive culture that recognizes success, develops high performance, and rewards results to retain talent within the team and wider Supporter Engagement function.
  • Objective Setting: Set objectives and KPIs for the team, monitor and track performance, and support underperformance through the performance management process.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience of line management, monitoring performance, and implementing and managing SLAs and KPIs.
  • Conflict Resolution: Confident in dealing with conflict and managing differing views and priorities.
  • Project Management: Relevant experience in managing projects and able to work unsupervised and manage own time and priorities as well as those for others.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain relationships and communicate across a wide-ranging audience.
