About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Naval Architect to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Senior Naval Architect, you will play a key role in developing designs for complex naval vessels, including frigates and aircraft carriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative design solutions with robust engineering substantiation.
  • Prepare and produce substantiation reports for marine solutions throughout the entire design lifecycle phases.
  • Liaise with design teams and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and functionality of system designs.
  • Provide solutions to manufacturing and installation issues by assisting in the resolution of technical and production queries.

Requirements

  • Proven structural design experience from a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with appropriate analytical software such as stability software (Paramarine, NAPA, FORAN, Maxsurf), FEA, CFD and/or CAD.
  • Experience of contributing to design reviews.
