Senior Naval Architect

Babcock is seeking a highly skilled Senior Naval Architect to join our team in Plymouth, Bristol, or Rosyth. As a Senior Naval Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of naval ships, working closely with our engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Author, review, and substantiate marine designs through calculations, simulations, commissioning, and diagnostic test support.
- Contribute to product development throughout the design lifecycle and provide technical support to our key customers.
- Act as Technical Authority and have deep subject knowledge of an aspect of marine engineering.
- Prepare and produce substantiation reports for marine solutions throughout the entire design lifecycle phases.
- Provide solutions to manufacturing and installation issues by assisting in the resolution of technical and production queries.
- Degree qualified or HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline with extensive experience in relevant field.
- Experience with appropriate analytical software such as stability software (Paramarine, NAPA, FORAN, Maxsurf), FEA, CFD and/or CAD.
