About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Shop Manager. As a Trainee Shop Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals and driving sales growth in one of our busy shops in the Milton Keynes area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of retail professionals to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement effective store routines to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop environment
  • Control key costs, including payroll, shrinkage, and waste, to maximize profitability
  • Meet standards in relation to customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising, and presentation
  • Take responsibility for recruitment, training, and development of your team
About You

We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual who is passionate about retail and has a drive to learn and develop in their career. As a Trainee Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in retail management and work towards a Level 4 Retail Manager apprenticeship qualification.

You will be a 'people person' who finds it easy to get on with everyone and is able to build strong working relationships with your team and customers. You will be trustworthy and reliable, with a positive and hardworking approach to work. You will be organized and able to remain calm in busy and high-pressured situations.
