Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Rail Product Development Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical project delivery within the rail sector, working with a range of high-quality GRP products including platforms, rail infrastructure, platform panels, walkways, ballast retention, gates, barriers, and trench covers.

You will interpret technical drawings and specifications to provide accurate quotations and make product recommendations to clients, providing technical guidance to subcontractors and general contractors as needed.

In addition, you will conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers, liaising with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing regular updates on opportunities, projects, values, and material requirements to ensure stock levels can be replenished.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical project delivery within the rail sector, working with high-quality GRP products.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to provide accurate quotations and make product recommendations.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and general contractors.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of technical experience within the rail industry.
  • Technical engineering experience or similar (technical manager / design engineer) is preferred.
  • Degree-level education within an engineering or related qualification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Project-led with an ability to think laterally.
  • Technically capable, able to assist with designing solutions to clients' needs.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £57,750 - £75,000 per annum, plus up to 20% bonus, along with fully expensed hybrid or electric company car OR £5300 - £7500 car allowance, pension, and 20 days annual leave.
