We are seeking a talented and passionate Drama Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators and work within a secondary school in Telford.

 

**Salary:** £100 - £220 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

 

**Job Description**

The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching drama to secondary school students and a commitment to fostering their artistic growth and development. The role involves planning and delivering engaging and innovative drama lessons that inspire and challenge students.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing curriculum plans that align with the National Curriculum and the school's educational objectives
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
  • Directing student productions, guiding students through the rehearsal process, and ensuring high-quality performances
  • Assessing student progress through various formative and summative assessments and providing constructive feedback to support their development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate drama across the curriculum and participating in school-wide events and productions
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in drama education and actively participating in professional development opportunities

 

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Previous experience teaching drama at the secondary school level, with a proven track record of student success, is highly desirable.
