General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our GastroBar in Cork. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall management of the restaurant, including food and beverage operations, staff management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily operations, including food preparation, service, and inventory control.
- Lead and mentor a team of staff, ensuring excellent customer service and high standards of food quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the restaurant's financial performance.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus, manage kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and overheads.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a GastroPub or restaurant environment.
- Proven track record of success in managing high-volume food and beverage operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Fluent English language skills and excellent IT and administrative skills.
