Job Title: Design and Development Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Engineer to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves and mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves and mechanisms.
  2. Participate in customer programmes as designated development engineer.
  3. Develop procedures for assembly and test of development and qualification hardware.
  4. Generate technical documentation to company and customer Quality standards.
  5. Contribute to engineering design in line with Quality standard AS9100 and ISO9001.
  6. Design and compliance documents using CAD, finite element and/or data acquisition packages.
  7. Support the company's commitment to safe working practices.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering to at least 2:1 standard, and a minimum of 5 years post-qualification work experience in the space/aerospace industry. You will also need proven experience with CAD for generating 3D models, and the ability to perform structural analysis using FE software.
