Job Title: Design and Development Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves and mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves and mechanisms.
  2. Participate in customer programmes as designated development engineer.
  3. Develop procedures for assembly and test of development and qualification hardware.
  4. Generate technical documentation to company and customer Quality standards.
  5. Contribute to engineering design in line with Quality standard AS9100 and ISO9001.
  6. Generate design and compliance documents using CAD, finite element and/or data acquisition packages.
  7. Support the company's commitment to safe working practices.
  8. Collaborate with other engineering teams on related projects.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the space/aerospace industry. You should have proven experience with CAD, finite element analysis, and data acquisition systems. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers, and a strong working knowledge of safe working practices are also essential.
