Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Meteorological Data Specialist to join our team at DTN. This role plays a vital part in translating meteorological data into actionable information for clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and deliver forecasts to clients in the offshore sector, utilizing advanced numerical weather prediction model output.
  • Create compelling weather forecast narratives and brief colleagues on key findings.
  • Monitor outstanding weather forecasts against actual observation data, updating forecasts as required to ensure accuracy.
  • Send timely alerts to clients impacted by adverse weather events, providing critical business risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Experience in weather forecasting is highly valued, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure meeting strict deadlines.
  • A strong supportive team player with a proven track record of collaboration and effective communication.
Compensation and Benefits

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is £23,797-£29,000. As a pay-for-performance organisation, there is opportunity for advancement with performance over time.
