About the Role:

Hull City Council is seeking an experienced practitioner to lead our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team. As the DoLS Operational Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams of Best Interest Assessors and DoLS coordinators, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and providing strong practice leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams to ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Human Rights Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide practice leadership and manage workload and resources to ensure timely completion of assessments and management of risk.
  • Work with other agencies to ensure practice and procedures remain current and compliant.
  • Embed and improve best practice across the DoLS team.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced practitioner with a strong value base, a recognition of people's autonomy, and a relentless commitment to quality and best practice. You will have excellent knowledge of legislation and the ability to relate it to effective person-centred practice. You will also have strong relationship building skills and an understanding of the role of other organisations.
