Job Title: CCTV Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The CCTV Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring and operating the closed-circuit television (CCTV) system within the shopping centre to ensure the safety and security of the premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves real-time surveillance, incident management, and coordination with security personnel and law enforcement as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor the CCTV system, keeping a close watch on the shopping centre premises to detect and prevent any security breaches, suspicious activities, or unsafe conditions.
  • Incident Response: Quickly identify and respond to any incidents, including theft, vandalism, or emergencies. Coordinate with on-site security teams and law enforcement as required.
  • Report Writing: Maintain detailed logs and records of all incidents, activities, and any suspicious observations. Prepare reports for management and law enforcement.
  • System Maintenance: Regularly check that all CCTV equipment is functioning correctly. Report any faults or issues to the relevant department for repair or maintenance.
  • Compliance: Ensure all CCTV operations comply with local laws, regulations, and the shopping centre's policies on privacy and data protection.
  • Communication: Liaise with other security team members, shopping centre management, and emergency services, ensuring effective communication and a swift response to incidents.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a security or CCTV monitoring role.
  • Licenses and Certifications: SIA CCTV license is essential. SIA door supervisor/Security license essential as you will spend some time on the mall.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with security protocols and emergency procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift Work: Shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, may be required.
