Contract Manager Sales
We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to lead the sales team in Cummins Inc. specializing in Sales for our Business Unit in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define contract scopes, objectives, and goals, ensuring effective communication and negotiation.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive plans, set timelines, and monitor project progress to ensure successful contract delivery and meet business requirements.
- Issue and Risk Management: Proactively identify and resolve issues, and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, providing financial insights to support decision-making and maintain fiscal responsibility, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Secure advantageous contract terms and pricing through effective negotiation with relevant teams, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Knowledge Sharing: Document key learnings and best practices to enhance future contract management processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and apply financial indicators to inform better business decisions, ensuring financial stability and growth.
- Effective Communication Skills: Capable of delivering clear, audience-specific communications and explaining complex topics in an understandable manner, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on building strong relationships and developing solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proficient in Contract Management: Skilled in managing contract scope, schedule, resources, and resolving issues, while handling conflicts and complexities effectively, ensuring successful contract delivery.
Education/Experience:
Qualifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- Ability to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Reviewing contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and project requirements.
- Developing solutions to complex contractual issues and project challenges.
