Contract Manager Sales

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to lead the sales team in Cummins Inc. specializing in Sales for our Business Unit in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial goals.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define contract scopes, objectives, and goals, ensuring effective communication and negotiation.
  3. Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive plans, set timelines, and monitor project progress to ensure successful contract delivery and meet business requirements.
  4. Issue and Risk Management: Proactively identify and resolve issues, and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  5. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, providing financial insights to support decision-making and maintain fiscal responsibility, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  6. Negotiation and Contracting: Secure advantageous contract terms and pricing through effective negotiation with relevant teams, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  7. Knowledge Sharing: Document key learnings and best practices to enhance future contract management processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and apply financial indicators to inform better business decisions, ensuring financial stability and growth.
  2. Effective Communication Skills: Capable of delivering clear, audience-specific communications and explaining complex topics in an understandable manner, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
  3. Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on building strong relationships and developing solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Proficient in Contract Management: Skilled in managing contract scope, schedule, resources, and resolving issues, while handling conflicts and complexities effectively, ensuring successful contract delivery.

Education/Experience:

Qualifications:

  1. College, university, or equivalent degree required.
  2. Ability to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  4. Reviewing contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and project requirements.
  5. Developing solutions to complex contractual issues and project challenges.
