Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and work in a rural school in the Morpeth/Ashington area with immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children
  • Support the school staff to facilitate the active participation of children in academic and social activities
  • Contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils
  • Implement the daily routine and plan age-appropriate activities in conjunction with other staff
  • Assist children in personal/intimate care and regularly evaluate their development
  • Liaise with parents/carers of children, only when directed by a school's class teacher
  • Uphold the Ripple Education ethos and all safeguarding requirements
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
  • Experience working in a primary school
  • Preferred experience working with children with SEN and strong background in Behaviour Management
