About the Role

Cafcass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work professional to join our team as a Family Court Adviser. As a key member of our Public and Private Law team, you will play a critical role in supporting the welfare and safety of children and families involved in the family court process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake direct work with children, gaining their views and wishes, and representing these to the court via written reports and giving evidence.
  • Advocate for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child(ren) involved.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, other agencies, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with court staff, lawyers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the court process.
Requirements
  • Be a Social Work England registered social worker with a proven track record of working with children and families.
  • Have a strong understanding of the family court process and the needs of children and families involved.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management skills.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
